Video: GSAM flags greater client focus on liquidity

Same-day liquidity is increasingly important for hedge funds, hence their rising interest for money-market funds, noted Lauren Oakes, Asia-Pacific head of international liquidity solution sales at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). 

She was discussing the findings of this year's liquidity survey, conducted by AsianInvestor and GSAM, which received 109 responses from long/short equity hedge funds in Asia Pacific.

Between February and early March they were asked how they utilised their cash. The full results of the survey – the second such poll – will appear in the April/May issue of the magazine, which is due out on Friday.
