Systems Union promotes Hong Kong management
In her new capacity, Chiu (pictured right) will manage the 40 staff based in Hong Kong as well as managing strategic developments in China, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Korea and Sri Lanka. China in particular, forms a major part of Systems Union strategy as the world prepares for the country's expected entry into the WTO.
Chiu joined Systems Union in 1993 as corporate account manager and quickly rose up the ranks to become director of business development in 1997. Prior to Systems Union, Chiu worked for PowerLan, ACA Pacific Technology and Dynastics Solutions. She holds a degree in Social Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Loretta Cho (pictured left), as new finance director, Asia Pacific, will manage the cost control across all offices in the region. She will bring real time data to both financial and non-financial users within Asia Pacific.
"In order to push for greater adoption of e-business solutions in the Asia Pacific region, especially in China where the world awaits her entry into the WTO this year, we require strategic leaders who can leverage industry expertise and experience with local markets to help achieve our business goals," says Ashley Clarke, CEO, Systems Union, Asia Pacific. "Both Chiu and Cho are the obvious persons of choice for this demanding role as they have proven their capabilities and we are eager to see them escalate Systems Union's leadership in Asia Pacific."
Systems Union currently operates six offices throughout Asia Pacific, with more than 6600 customers throughout the region. The regional headquarters was established in Hong Kong in 1992.
