Singapore joint venture law firm expands

Two new associates have been added to the international capital markets team at Allen & Overy, Shook Lin & Bok.

International law firm Allen & Overy, Shook Lin & Bok, a joint venture law firm in Singapore, has appointed two new associates for its international capital markets team, Hooman Sabeti Rahmati and Quentin Pak.

Rahmati will work closely with Kenneth Abound, who leads the firm’s securitization practices in Singapore. Prior, Hooman spent four-and-a-half years with Orrick Herrington and Sutcliffe’s structured finance group in New York and Singapore. He has experience in representing issuers, underwriters, and arrangers on private and public, domestic and cross border asset-backed transactions. Rahmati was a financial analyst before starting his law career.

Pak has joined the firm’s Asian international capital markets team in Singapore from Allen & Overy in London. He has previously spent six months in the firm’s Hong Kong office where he advised on a range of capital markets transactions, debt issues, and primary market warrant issues.

“We are committed to offering a legal service of the highest caliber, and a first class regional international capital markets capability is integral to that service,” says Chris Rushton, managing partner of South Asia and head of the firm’s Singapore office. “These high quality appointments will ensure we continue to meet the needs of our clients in the international and domestic markets.”
