Norton Rose appoints new Singapore head

Arman Galledari takes up the role of international managing partner as David Stannard becomes head of Asia.

Norton Rose has announced that Arman Galledari will replace Paul Giles as its international managing partner in Singapore. Galledari will take up his new post at the beginning of May when Giles returns to London to assume the role of Chairman.

At the same time, David Stannard will take over Giles previous responsibilities as international managing partner Asia and will continue to be based in Hong Kong. He has been managing partner of the firm's office in the Territory since 1995.

Galledari is currently head of Norton Rose's projects and energy practice in Asia, specializing in international debt and project finance. He has acted on a significant number of complex infrastructure projects. Most recently, he led the team advising Singapore Power on all aspects of gas and electricity deregulation proposed by the Energy Market Authority of Singapore. He has been based in the Lion City since 1994.

The law firm has also promoted Gervais Green to partnership level in the Singapore office. Green, who specializes in international shipping, finance and energy projects, joined Norton Rose in 1995 and moved to the Singapore office in 2000.
