JLT appoints Hong Kong MD

George McGhie has been named operations managing director at Jardine Lloyd Thompson Asia, a provider of insurance and risk expertise. The appointment follows the transfer of Simon Weaver from Hong Kong to Indonesia, where he is the firm's new MD in Jakarta. McGhie previously ran JLT's captive management business in Asia. He reports to Mike Methley, JLT Asia’s managing director.
