Boston banker joins ING Hong Kong

ING Barings has appointed a new director of debt market origination.

ING Barings has appointed Sit Sei Wei a director of debt market origination, Asia, to be based in Hong Kong.

Sit, who brings 16 years of capital markets experience to the role, will work with Robert Scholten, director of loan syndication, Asia, and Richard Lamb, director of securitization group, Asia. He takes up the position next month and will report to Christopher Smith, managing director of the debt products group, Asia.

Sit joins ING from BancBoston Robertson Stephens in Boston where he was the head of Latin American debt syndication for three years. In that time, Sit was involved in over $8 billion of syndicated loans for a number of different companies, including telcos and financial institutions.
