North American family offices are drawn to Asia, while firms already in the region are also looking to increase investments, according to a new report.

But they seem as focused on growing their wealth as preserving it and are hungry for private equity, according to the new China family office report from UBS and Campden Wealth.

This was among a wide range of findings in the UBS/Campden Wealth Asia-Pacific Family Office Survey 2013, published yesterday.

They see Doha as a safe haven and favour emerging markets for offshore investment. They are also active in managing their wealth and prefer Africa and Europe over the US.
