Watson Wyatt names head of portfolio advisory

Peter Ryan-Kane steps into a newly created role to help Asia-Pacific clients adapt to new investment opportunities.

Consulting firm Watson Wyatt has hired Peter Ryan-Kane for a newly created role of head of portfolio advisory for Asia-Pacific.

Ryan-Kane is responsible for driving investment solutions for clients in Asia. He will sit on the firm's global investment committee and will chair the regional portfolio construction group. He will also take direct responsibility for some key client relationships in the region.

Naomi Denning, head of investment consulting in Asia-Pacific, says Ryan-Kane will also ensure that Watson Wyatt is well positioned to help its clients adapt effectively to new investment opportunities.

Based in Hong Kong, Ryan-Kane rejoins after two-and-half-years at Credit Suisse, where he was responsible for product development, investment solutions and institutional coverage for Asia-Pacific.

Watson Wyatt is focused on creating financial value for institutional investors through independent, best-in-class investment advice. It provides co-ordinated investment strategy advice based on expertise in risk assessment, strategic asset allocation, and investment manager selection. It provides investment advice to some of the world's largest pension funds and institutional investors, and has more than 550 associates in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
