Wan leaves SG for Adam
Eleanor Wan has left SG Asset Management and is now head of Hong Kong retail sales and marketing at Allianz Dresdner Asset Management (Adam). Wan replaces Angela Fung, who has shifted to work on Adam'gs fund management joint venture in Shanghai with Guotai Junan Securities.
Wan is an industry veteran, having run North Asia business development for SG for about two years, following a similar role at Zurich Scudder Investments before it was acquired by Deutsche Bank. She also served at Invesco, and nine years ago worked in the marketing team at Dresdner.
Her new boss, Mark Konyn, regional head of marketing, says Wan will have P&L responsibility and a remit covering sales, marketing, communications and client service. She will look after the mutual funds, Mandatory Provident Fund and retirement member's choice businesses. She will work with distributors to cover Adam's entire funds range, which includes brands such as Dresdner RCM, Pimco, DIT, Oppenheimer Capital, Nicholas Applegate and Allianz Hedge Fund Partners. Konyn says she is now reviewing her team and may look to strengthen it.
