Tsun rises at Skadden Arps

Law firm names second partner in its Hong Kong corporate finance and M&A practice.

Skadden Arps has picked up the services of Dominic Tsun who will join the firm as a partner from the beginning of November. He will become the second partner to join the firm's recently established corporate finance and mergers and acquisition practice. Nick Norris was earlier hired in July 2005.

Tsun shifts to the international law firm from Linklaters in Hong Kong, where he was also a partner and is said to have played a lead role advising on numerous capital market and M&A transactions.

He has been practicing in Hong Kong since 1994 and been involved in a slew of the territory’s most high profile deals. He represented PetroChina in its $2.88 billion global offering and dual listing, and was involved in the $1.84 listing of Ping An Insurance.

More recently, he represented the manager of the REIT in the Link real estate investment trust, as well as Bank of Communications’ $1.9 billion listing and offering.

Tsun is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong and England and Wales, as well as an attorney in New York.
