The fund firms most heavily invested in Asia
AsianInvestor has carried out a research project to identify the top 100 fund management firms by assets invested in Asia-Pacific. We believe this is the first categorisation of its kind.
The list we have compiled is based on absolute numbers, and makes for interesting reading. Can you say which global house, for example, has the heaviest absolute investment into Asia Pacific? And which Asian firm?
Further, AsianInvestor has also broken down the figures into derivative top 10 lists, such as the leading fund firms invested in Asia by percentage of their global asset base, which sidelines sheer size to show which houses can truly claim to be the most Asia-centric.
We will publish our lists in full in the forthcoming June edition of AsianInvestor magazine, with an accompanying write-up. But to give our online readers an early taster, each week we will reveal a segment from our top 100 list.
Today we start with 91-100, which entirely comprises Asian firms, bar Threadneedle Investments. All figures are in billions of US dollars, with the first number representing Asia-Pacific invested assets and the subsequent (far right) figure global AUM.
