Sun Life names Bennet Li as interim Asia CFO following Kim Yeoh’s passing

Sun Life has announced that Kim Yeoh, chief financial officer, Asia, has passed away in a LinkedIn post on Friday. Bennet Li will serve as interim Asia CFO, Sun Life told AsianInvestor.

Hong Kong-based Li has worked at the company for 23 years and is currently the head of strategic finance, Asia and country manager, Mainland China.

Yeoh worked at Sun Life for eight years and held the CFO role for four years.

“[Yeoh] was an exceptional CFO who was passionate about developing the next generation of talent and generously mentored many colleagues. [Yeoh] will be remembered for being a wonderful colleague, friend, mother, artist and human-being with a big heart,” the LinkedIn post said.

Following her passing, Sun Life will be making a donation to Maggie’s Cancer Trust in Hong Kong to support cancer patients and their families, according to the LinkedIn post.
