SSB HR gets busy, again

Salomon Smith Barney transfers Raymond Lee to the investment bank and appoints John Caparusso in his place.

Salomon Smith Barney's (SSB) human resources department continues its flurry of activities. This time the investment bank has transferred Raymond Lee, managing director, from his position as head of Asian financial institutions equity research to the investment banking department with special responsibility for China coverage of financial institutions. Prior to joining SSB, Lee held similar positions at Lehman Brothers and CLSA. Lee's other previous work experiences include stints as a financial analyst, portfolio manager and actuarial manager in the UK. 

John Caparusso, director and financial institutions research analyst for Taiwan, will succeed Lee in the regional role. Caparusso will be based in Hong Kong and will continue to cover Taiwanese financial institutions in addition to his new role as head of the regional banking research team.

Caparusso was previously head analyst of research and financial institutional at Indosuez WI Carr for two years before joining SSB in 1999. Before that, he was a management consultant for nine years, five with Booz, Allen & Hamilton and four as an independent adviser to Asian and multinational corporations on matters such as business strategy and investment in the information technology sector.
