SSB appoints Phillip Ham as Korean equities head
Former ING Barings managing director, Phillip Ham, will join Salomon Smith Barney KEB Securities as managing director and head of Korean equities. Based in Seoul, Ham will be responsible for managing the firm's Korean equity operations and developing its presence in Korea.
Ham will report to William Choy, head of Asia Pacific Equities, based in Hong Kong, and to E S Min, president and chief executive officer of Salomon Smith Barney KEB Securities in Korea.
Ham, a Yale graduate, has previously worked at LG Securities in Hong Kong and London, Schroder Securities in London, and with Citibank in New York.
