SG boosts research coverage

Three new hires in Singapore and Korea.

SG the french investment bank is following the lead of its European rivals and has announced a series of new hires in equity research. In Singapore the bank has appointed Fook Cheong Woo to the new position of director of regional oil and petrochemical research. Woo joins SG from DKW where he was the head of oil and chemicals research in Tokyo and in Singapore. In his new position at SG he will build up coverage of the sector on a regional basis.

In Korea, SG has made two hires. Sean Lee joins from HSBC Investment Bank to be a telecoms analyst, while Kyle Shin joins as a technology analyst. Previously Shin worked for Hyundai Securities and ING Baring Securities.

The three new hires will report to SG's Bangkok-based head of Asian research, Sriyan Pietersz. "It is always a pleasure to see talented individuals joining us," he says.
