RBS hires Asia head of credit structuring
The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) has established the new role of Asia-Pacific head of credit structuring in Singapore, and Stefan Masuhr joined yesterday to fill it.
He heads the UK bank's credit structuring capabilities throughout the region, working closely with the sales team on flow credit products, investment credit products and structured credit transactions.
Masuhr will also work with RBS's asset class specialist teams to develop multi-asset structures for clients across Asia. He will report to Serge Pomonti and Xavier Coiffard, co-heads of rates, credit and emerging markets for Asia ex-Japan in the global structuring division.
Masuhr joins RBS from Deutsche Bank in Singapore, where he was most recently head of funds and managed investment solutions. He ran the funds subset on the credit asset structuring platform, reporting to Anthony Man, Singapore-based head of complex credit and asset structuring for Asia ex-Japan.
His responsibilities at Deutsche will now be covered by other members of the credit asset structuring team.
Before moving to Deutsche, Masuhr worked at Bayerische Hypo- und Vereinsbank from 2002 to 2006 as Asia head of structuring. He began his career in banking with scholarships at Meiji Seimei Life Insurance in Tokyo and Dresdner Bank in Tokyo.
