PRC lawyer joins Allen & Overy

Li Ying has been appointed to the PRC practice group.

International law firm Allen & Overy has appointed Li Ying to its PRC practice group. He will be based in the firm's Hong Kong office.

Ying is a PRC-qualified lawyer and has extensive experience in PRC-related corporate finance, M&A, and inbound investment in the form of Chinese-foreign joint ventures, to name a few. In addition, he is heavily involved in direct and indirect listings of PRC enterprises on the Hong Kong stock exchange, GEM, and other overseas stock exchanges.

Prior to this, Ying spent about six years at Victor Chu & Co where he was a Chinese law consultant. He also worked as an associate at Zhong Lun Law Firm in Beijing.

"Our clients want practitioners who can help them find the most effective solutions to their problems, which is exactly what we provide," says Michael Liu, head of the firm's Asian corporate practice. "Ying's experience in this field, both in the PRC and in Hong Kong, demonstrates our commitment to providing this service."
