New senior MD, VP for Bear Stearns

After 14 years at UBS Warburg, Piers Hartland-Swann is joining the telecom group of Bear Stearns. Angela Lee comes onboard as a VP.

Bear, Stearns & Co has appointed Piers Hartland-Swann as the managing director of its telecom group in Hong Kong.

He will be responsible for leading the firm's Asian telecom industry practice.

Hartland-Swann joins Bear Stearns following a 14-year stint at UBS Warburg where he was responsible for several high-profile deals, including PCCW's acquisition of Hong Kong Telecom.

Angela Lee, formerly of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, has joined as a VP assisting Hartland-Swann. She spent five years at DrKW working in the field of corporate finance.
