New partner at White & Case

William Thomson becomes new Asian partner.

White & Case has announced the appointment of William Thomson as the law firm's new partner. Bringing with him more than 16 years of experience in corporate and project finance and taxation, Thomson will further strengthen the law firm's presence in the Asia-Pacific region.

Thomson joined White & Case in 1995 and has been involved in various legal projects in the telecommunications, IT/Internet, technology, and power sectors as well as advising clients on international, PRC and Hong Kong tax structuring and transactional planning.

He is also a prolific writer and formerly a lecturer in revenue law at the University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining the firm, he worked at a major public accounting firm in Hong Kong.
