New loan syndication head for BNP Paribas

Simon Orchard is the new head of loan syndication in Southeast Asia for BNP Paribas. He transfers from the firm's London office to Singapore where he will report to Clarence T'ao, head of loan syndications and trading for Asia.

In London, Orchard was responsible for European acquisition finance and media and telecom loan syndications. He joined BNP Paribas in 1997 from Dai-Ichi Kangyo Bank where he spent six years working in corporate relationship banking. Prior to that he spent nine years at Natwest.
