New group head of research for Indosuez W.I. Carr securities

Indosuez W.I. Carr Securities appoints Wahid Butt as group head of research.

Wahid Butt, current head of Korean research, will be the new group head of research for the equity specialist arm of Credit Agricole in Asia. Butt, based in Seoul, retains his position as head of Korean research and will also be a member of IWICS's executive committee.

Butt has been with IWICS since 1994, and his experience includes stints as head of Pakistan research and head of capital goods sector research.

Commenting on the appointment, Regis Monfront, IWICS's CEO says: "Wahid's experience not only increases the depth of analysis we offer, it enables our clients to benefit from having access to truly independent and unfettered research produced by people who know the region intimately, and can therefore offer invaluable solutions to clients and profitability."
