New CEO for Morley Singapore

The asset management company has appointed a CEO to its Singapore operation.
UK-based asset management company Morley Fund Management has appointed Steven Choy as chief executive officer of Morley Singapore.

As part of its effort to strengthen the company’s presence in Asia, Morley has created a new CEO position to lead the company’s key branch in Singapore, and to develop strategy for future Asian (ex-Japan) asset management.

Bringing with him more than 15 years of experience in financial services in Asia, Choy worked at CGU Asia in Singapore as the planning and financial director of the Asia region before joining Morley. Prior, he was the general manager for Commercial Union in Malaysia.

Both Andrew Kwek and Sheree Tan will remain in their positions of managing directors of Morley Singapore and chief investment officer respectively. The two will be report to Choy.

“I am very much looking forward to the challenge of rapidly developing Morley’s operation in Asia,” says Choy. “The company has established itself in Singapore over a number of years, and is now looking to expand rapidly worldwide. It’s a very exciting time to be joining Morley.”
