Low goes to PIMCO

The famed fixed income asset management firm hires an emerging markets specialist.

PIMCO, the leading fixed income money manager coast has hired Aaron Low from Dresdner. Low will work as an emerging markets specialist at the US based firm and will manage an internationl portfolio. He will be based in PIMCO's Singapore office.

Low joins PIMCO having been something of a star within Dresdner Asset Management, where he managed $500 million and ran the firm's Asian fixed income ivnestment team. He was also the asset allocation manager for the Dresdner Global Balanced Fund.

Before Dresdner, Low worked at IFER Investment Associates and he was a member of the business faculty at the National University of Singapore.

At PIMCO he will report to Mohamed El-Erian who runs the firm's emerging market portfolio team. Says El-Erian, "Asia is a key market for PIMCO and Aaron Low, who comes to us with significant experience and achievements, will refine PIMCO's focus on its primary objective - to offer the best fixed income opportunities to our clients in Asia and the best products from Asia to our clients worldwide."
