Liang accepts ING Bank Taiwan post
Lawrance Liang will join ING Bank after being appointed as head of wholesale relationship management, Taiwan. He moves over from Credit Agricole Indosuez in Taipei and will split his reporting duties between John Howland-Jackson, head of wholesale relationship management, Asia and Dr. Wu Ching-mai, ING Bank's country manager for Taiwan.
In his newly appointed role, Liang will take responsibility for managing and developing ING's wholesale banking client coverage activities in Taiwan. At ING Bank, Liang will also provide client access to the group's range of advisory and debt-financing expertise.
At Credit Agricole Indosuez, Liang was its senior country officer and general manager, a position he held since 2002. In this position, he promoted the bank's financial products and was responsible for structured solutions for its corporate clients and other financial institutions.
His CV also includes stretches with an array of multinational and domestic banks including CommerzBank AG, Industrial Bank of Taiwan, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and JPMorgan Chase. The hire follows ING Bank's recent signing of Stephen Briones as country head for Thailand, who will take on added responsibility for managing and developing its wholesale banking client coverage in that market.
