Lehman hires Loh as general manager for Singapore

Loh will also oversee fixed income sales activities.

Lehman Brothers has hired Catherine Loh as senior vice president and general manager of its Singapore branch. Loh, who starts next week, will oversee sales activities for fixed income sales and act as a senior calling officer in Singapore and neighbouring markets.

Most recently, Loh headed the southeast Asia central bank team at Goldman Sachs in Singapore, where she worked for nine years. Loh's past experiences also include stints at BZW-Pacific Union where she handled equity sales, and as an investment officer at the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation.

Loh replaces Tom Picard, who returned to New York to handle fixed income sales in North America. Loh will report to Kirk Sweeney, managing director and head of fixed income sales, Asia ex-Japan. Based in Hong Kong Sweeney also has responsibilities for equity derivative sales for Asia ex-Japan. He reports to Tokyo-based Douglas Ireland, managing director, head of fixed income sales, Asia.
