LBBW makes structured products hire
Dr Paul Bennet will move to the Singapore offices of Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg (LBBW) as the bank's new derivatives quantitative analyst for the structured products desk. Following his recent arrival at LBBW, Bennet reports to Frank Tsai, the Singapore-based head of structured products-Asia Pacific, who joined the bank in April from Macquarie.
In the newly created role he will be responsible for the quantitative pricing, valuing and modelling of several derivatives products that include interest rate/exotic derivatives, credit derivatives, and hybrids.
He joins the firm from Ernst and Young in Sydney where he was a quant consultant. Bennet's hire comes amid LBBW's ongoing strategy to build its structured products team in Asia and precedes the bank's plan to add an interest rates/exotic derivatives trader and a relative value credit trader before the first quarter next year.
