Kohli takes corporate communication post at ING Barings

Sheel Kohli joins ING Barings as head of corporate communication for Asia, including Japan and Australia. He will be based in Hong Kong.

Kohli will report to Claire Mascall, global head of corporate communication (based in London) and regionally to David Hudson, CEO, ING Barings Asia. His responsibilities will include all aspects of ING Barings' strategic communications in Asia.

Previously, Kohli worked with the South China Morning Post newspaper as the European financial correspondent. He was also a founding contributor to the Daily Deal newspaper in New York, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, private capital and initial public offerings.

"This is a key appointment for us at a time we are set to grow our Asia franchise. We have ambitious plans for development in the region and strong communications will be vital to our success," says Mascall.
