KIC targets infra and private debt in alternatives expansion
South Korea's sovereign wealth fund is eyeing specific alternative asset classes following strong 2024 results, with plans to capitalise on the current interest rate environment.

The Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) has identified infrastructure and private debt as prime investment targets as it continues its strategic expansion into alternative assets, following a year that saw the sovereign wealth fund post an 8.49% annual return and reach a historic high of $206.5 billion in assets under management.
