Kenneth Kwok to run Deutsche Bank's new private client set-up

The ex-Goldman Sachs veteran will provide ultra-high-net-worth investors with access to the German bank's institutional sales and trading platform.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Kenneth Kwok as Asia ex-Japan head of private institutional clients in Hong Kong. He was previously head of corporate sales for Asia ex-Japan at Goldman Sachs.

In this newly created role, Kwok will be responsible for delivering the bank's global institutional sales and trading platform to ultra-high-net-worth private clients with complex financial requirements.

He will develop specific initiatives to expand the ultra-high-net-worth segment for Deutsche Bank in Asia through a newly formed partnership between the global markets and private wealth businesses.

He reports to Bhupinder Singh, head of the institutional client group and head of structuring for Asia ex-Japan, and to Robert Rankin, Asia-Pacific chief executive.

Kwok has spent the past 17 years at Goldman Sachs. Prior to his role as co-head of corporate sales for Asia ex-Japan, he was co-regional manager of private wealth management in Hong Kong and head of the institutional coverage group at the US bank.
