Insurance Investment Forum 2014: photos
AsianInvestor hosted its first ever conference focused on insurance investment late last month, with attendees from some of the biggest insurance firms in the region – and the world. Click here to see photos from the event.
The sessions included a panel on asset-liability management challenges, discussed by Arnaud Mounier, chief investment officer at Axa Asia and Jeffrey Tan, Asia investment director at Ageas, among others.
James Hughes, group CIO of HSBC Insurance, joined a discussion about how to set up a strong internal investment structure, while Craig Chen, CIO at Taikang Life, and Ying White of Clifford Chance spoke about the development of the Chinese insurance industry.
There was also a session on alternative investments, a growing area of interest for insurance firms in Asia. The panelists included Cheah Kit-Hoe of Maybank insurance arm Etiqa; Martin Tornberg at Ping An of China Asset Management (Hong Kong); Michael Petrick from The Carlyle Group; and Don Guo, CIO of Asia Capital Reinsurance Group.
