A select group of insurance professionals gathered at our Investment Insurance Briefing held at The Island Shangri-La on September 20.

Our second insurance-focused event in Hong Kong this year featured an insightful panel discussion, two fireside chats and four presentations on topics ranging from asset allocation, including fixed-income opportunities, to climate investing.

Some of our speakers included Courtney Wei, deputy general manager, investment department at China Life Insurance Overseas; Richard Chan, chief investment and ALM officer at FTLife; Cary Chan, head of investments for Hong Kong and Southeast Asia, general account investments at Manulife; and Gareth Hewett, head of international ESG at Ping An Group.

Other expert speakers included Kheng Siang Ng, Asia Pacific head of fixed income at State Street Global Advisors and Oleg Ruban, head of APAC equity solutions at MSCI;  and Connie Chan, head of Greater China iShares distribution at BlackRock.
