AsianInvestor calls for 2017 award pitches
AsianInvestor is launching the pitch process for our Asset Management Awards for 2017.
Below please find details of the awards pitching process, which we have divided into two broad sections:
- Asset Service Provider Awards, which cover Asset Services and Audit/Legal/Indexing (please submit pitches for these categories using the online submission form); and
- Asset Class Awards, Market Awards and Marquee Awards, which cover investment performance and outstanding asset managers (please also apply using the online submission form).

ASSET SERVICE PROVIDER AWARDS
Asset Services
The submission deadline for pitches is Friday, February 17. The awards categories are as follows:
- Best global custodian for asset owners
- Best global custodian for mutual funds
- Best bank for cross-border custody
- Buyside COO of the year – we seek your nominations
Interested parties should submit pitches using our online submission form. Pitches should outline why your organisation deserves the award. No supplementary material will be accepted other than testimonials from buy-side clients.
Interviews will take place in Hong Kong between Monday, February 20 and Friday, March 3. Interviews can be set up in advance, but we must receive your online pitch on time. Interviews are off record and meant to put your formal pitch into context.
Audit/Legal/Indexing
The submission deadline for pitches is Friday, February 17. The awards categories are as follows:
- Best law firm for asset management
- Best compliance services provider
- Best auditor (funds and tax)
- Best index provider, global
In addition, our Marquee award: Asset Service Provider of the Year is open to custodians and all other service providers.
ASSET CLASS AWARDS
For our public market awards we study statistical data provided by independent third parties. We use that analysis to shortlist candidates, which we then invite to pitch. If you don’t hear from us, you have not been shortlisted.
MARKET AWARDS
Fund House of the Year (by country). Covering the following countries:
- Australia
- China
- China (offshore)
- Hong Kong
- India
- Indonesia
- Japan
- Korea
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Taiwan
- Thailand
- Vietnam
We invite submissions from businesses with local licences and locally domiciled investment products (regardless of whether the applicant company is headquartered locally or overseas) to compete to be named their market’s Fund House of the Year. We welcome submissions from managers of long-only, public, hedge and private funds.
To apply, please fill out all categories of information in our online submission form. In addition, we will accept testimonials from third-party clients, as well as client contacts. These documents/conversations will be off the record, but the client must be identified.

After reviewing the pitches we will request interviews with short-listed candidates. These interviews are off the record and are intended to put your formal pitch into context. They will take place in Hong Kong from February 20 to March 3.
