Herbert Smith to provide legal content for M&A website

growasia.com, an online marketplace for the sale, purchase and development of Asian business and corporate assets has entered into a regional strategic arrangement with international law firm Herbert Smith.

Initially, Herbert Smith will be providing the legal content to growasia.com to enable businesses to transact assets. The law firm will cover areas such as foreign investment rules, currency controls, trade regulations, employment law, and insolvency practices in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Thailand. In the other Asian countries, Herbert Smith will act as a liaison and coordinator. Both growasia.com and Herbert Smith intend to extend their collaboration to other legal products and services for members of the site.

growasia.com has also signed a two year promotional and marketing agreement with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
