Global Sage hires Ann Knight
Global Sage, the Asia-based executive search firm has appointed one of Citigroup's leading lights to its practice in New York. Ann Knight was most recently Citigroup's global sector head of research, in which position she had direct responsibility for Citi's equity research growth in the Asian region.
Prior to the merger of Salomon Brothers and Smith Barney, Knight was global director of research at Salomon Brothers. Before joining Salomon, she was director of research for PaineWebber, where she had also been an auto analyst for nearly a decade.
Between her years as an auto analyst and as a director of research, Knight was a general partner of the investment banking firm McFarland Dewey, specializing in M&A.
Most recently at Citigroup, she had direct reporting with many of Citigroup's current Asia-based executives, including Robert Morse (now running Citigroup in Asia), David Ratliff (head of Asian equities) and Otto Wong (now retired from running Asian research).
"Ann Knight is one of those rare people who add energy, integrity and depth to everything she touches," said John Wright, CEO of Global Sage. "To have Ann as the leading member of our US business brings us unparalleled access and insight to the markets not only in the Americas but also world-wide. Ann definitely is a global sage."
