Global Sage boosts Tokyo team
Global Sage has announced that it has appointed Kojiro Nojiri to its equities and investment banking practice in Tokyo. The hire brings to eight the number of professionals now working in the firm's Tokyo office.
Nojiri is a very well known equities banker in Japan. For the last seven years he has worked at Morgan Stanley as an equity trader and salesman. Prior to Morgan Stanley he was with Lehman Brothers for two years. He started his career with Nikko Securities in 1987 and spent five years with Nikko Europe in London building that business there. Sources at Global Sage suggest that they are looking to tap his extensive knowledge of the buyside and sellside in Tokyo and translate that into mandates across the equities and asset management sides of the business.
"The addition of Koji to our Japan search practice will add a tremendous amount of experience to our already strong franchise in Japan. We are delighted to have him on board," said John Wright, founder of the firm.
