GigaMedia appoints Miller as investor relations director

The appointment is to help GigaMedia manage its investor relations program and demonstrate management's commitment to building strong relationships with its shareholders.

Miller served most recently as account director at Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in New York where he provided strategic counsel on investor relations issues for companies around the globe, and worked on investor relations programs for leading technology companies. Prior to that, Miller helped develop and manage ADR programs at Ludgate Communications in New York for foreign companies listed in the US. 

"We are pleased to have Brad join our team and confident he will enable GigaMedia to expand its communications program and develop stronger shareholder relationships," said chief executive officer Raymond Chang.

GigaMedia listed its ADRs on NASDAQ in February last year, just weeks before the technology sector began to dive. Its performance on the US exchange has been helped by the fact that Microsoft holds a 10% stake in the company. The Koos Group, a major player in Taiwan's manufacturing, finance, telecommunications, media, and cable industries, is also a strategic stakeholder.
