Frank Tsai joins LBBW

The European bank makes a key hire in its push into the regional structured products market.

Frank Tsai is to join Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg (LBBW) in its Singapore office to be the bank's new head of structured products for Asia. He will report to Mark Cranfield who is head of capital markets for LBBW in Asia. The move comes as LBBW aims to replicate the success it has had in Europe in the structured products market in Asia.

Tsai's position is a new one for LBBW in Asia and according to Cranfield the bank will aim to make new appointments in the structured products area in coming months. Tsai will focus most of his efforts on interest rate and credit structuring.

Tsai joins the bank from Macquarie Bank in Sydney where he was the head of structured products and credit derivatives. Prior to Macquarie he was a VP at ING in Hong Kong where he worked in Asian local markets debt trading.
