Former Yahoo! global head e-commerce moves to emaimai

Tony Surtees takes the helm at Asian m-commerce business.

Tony Surtees has been appointed CEO at Hong Kong-based m-commerce and wireless application provider emaimai.

Prior to this appointment, Surtees was executive vice president and general manager of Global e-Commerce for Yahoo!’s e-Commerce group, at their Santa Clara headquarters. Surtees has a reputation as an authoritative speaker on e-commerce issues and is a regular on the global technology and internet conference circuit.

“Tony brings an incredibly impressive track record to emaimai,” says Malamud. “With more than 15 years of industry experience, Tony is the ideal professional to lead emaimai through this exciting new phase. I am extremely confident that Tony, and the experienced team he joins at emaimai, will produce great results.”

emaimai is headquartered in Hong Kong and has fully-owned subsidiary entities and offices in Singapore, Shenzhen, Shanghai, New York, Sydney and a technology centre in San Diego.
