Double boost for ING Wholesale Banking

New hires in Singapore and Seoul to further enhance Asian client coverage.

Moving to strengthen its network of senior client relationship managers around the region, ING Wholesale Banking has announced two senior appointments in Singapore and Seoul.

In the Southeast Asian city, the group has named Choon Seng Tan as head of corporate clients, Singapore. In this position, Tan will be responsible for all ING's client coverage of key local corporate and global clients in Singapore. He will also aim further develop ING's product capabilities in this market.

Upon arriving at ING Wholesale Banking from DBS, Tan will report to Malcolm Brown, head of corporate clients, Asia.

At DBS, Tan was deputy head of the energy, chemicals and healthcare team in Singapore, which provided senior client coverage with a particular focus on debt capital markets and structured finance. During his DBS spell, Tan also worked in Manila for over three years.

In Seoul, Jeong Mee Shin comes on board as wholesale relationship manager, Korea. She will report to Erik Versavel, country manager and head of corporate clients, Korea and will be heavily involved in deepening the firm's corporate, institutional and government relationships in the country.

Shin crosses to ING from Bank One, where she was most a relationship manager for the corporate finance division. Before this role, she worked with Salomon Smith Barney as an investment banker.
