Deutsche hires head of Greater China equities sales

Ability to think ''out-of-the-box'' entices Deutsche to hire Nathan Emerson from ABN Amro.

Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Nathan Emerson as director and head of Greater China equity sales. Based in Hong Kong, Emerson will report to Ed Peter, head of equities for the ex-Japan Asian region.

Emerson joins Deutsche from ABN Amro, where he latterly held the post of chief executive officer of Asian and Australasian equities.

In his new role he has been set the task of increasing the sale of equity products into Greater China and of selling Greater China equities to global investors.

"We are looking to put together an out-of-the-box business and Nathan is just the person to run it for Greater China," says Peter. "His approach to the Asian equity world is eclectic and interesting, and is exactly what Deutsche Bank is trying to accomplish."
