Deutsche Bank takes five

Chang, Lin, Waldron, Baughan and Bookout leave Jardine Fleming for DB.

Five Jardine Fleming staff are on the move to Deutsche Bank in Taiwan. Calvin Chang, Andrew Lin and Bruce Waldron are joining the technology research team. It covers the technology spectrum, including semiconductors, PC systems, components, networking, system integrators and contract manufacturing. Chang will be head of research.

Thomas Bookout has been appointed the telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) and Taiwan specialist for the Asian sales team.

Mark Baughan has been recruited to help develop the Taiwanese operation before moving to Hong Kong to join the bank's Equity Capital Markets business. Baughan was previously head of Jardine Fleming Securities in Taiwan.

"These appointments boost an already strong team, so that now we have one of the top technology and Taiwan research products on the street. This both complements and completes the circle of our franchise in technology which exists for our operations in the US and Europe," says Will Hamilton, head of Deutsche Bank Global Equities, Asia.
