CSFB snags Jha from DBS

Following on from the recent hiring of Damien Wood, Credit Suisse First Boston is further expanding its global research team in Singapore by appointing Sailesh Jha as senior regional economist. In this newly created position, Jha will cover Southeast Asian economies. Jha has been appointed as director and will report to Dong Tao, chief regional economist for Asia ex-Japan.

For CSFB, Jha will focus on the economies of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.

CSFB welcome Jha into the organisation from DBS where he held the position of senior regional economist for Asia. Before DBS, Jha spent several years in the Philippines with the Asian Development Bank and has also worked in the US with the IMF and the World Bank.
