CSFB promotes Paterson to chief regional strategist

Prior to this new role at CSFB, Paterson co-headed CSFB's global emerging markets strategy research.

Paterson is fairly new to CSFB, joining in 2000 from Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (CLSA) where he was the global emerging markets strategist. He has an impressive record, having been ranked top Asia strategist by Institutional Investor consecutively in 1999 and 2000, and helping build a top ranked Indian research team at CLSA. Paterson began his career at Hill Samuel Asset Management, managing clients' assets in Asia from 1991 to 1995.
