Congratulations to the 2021 Institutional Excellence Awards winners
AsianInvestor is delighted to announce the winners of the 2021 Institutional Excellence Awards, now live at the awards' website.
After a challenging 2020, institutional investors experienced a strong rebound this year amid a bull market run. But uncertainties of a post-pandemic recovery, inflationary concerns and political risks continued to pose challenges to investors, underscoring the necessities of being able to adapt to changing environments.
Asset owners have also had to respond to the growing cry for environmental, social and governance (ESG) integration into investment practices, as governments and citizens alike push for corporates and investors to do more in curbing the climate crisis.
In light of this, we have introduced new categories in the last two years including: Best in Class – Climate Change Policy; Best in Class – Environmental, Social and Governance Engagement; Best in Class – Response to Covid-19 Pandemic.
The winners in these categories portrayed measurable evidence of their efforts and long-term soundness and specificity in their strategies, with some having a long-term track record of success in ESG, even before sustainability came to the mainstream fore.
In our other categories, winners also impressed our judges for their improved governance, adaptability, innovation and risk functions in response to the changing market environments.
On behalf of the AsianInvestor team, we congratulate the winners and thank our judging panel for a successful 2021 Institutional Excellence Awards.
