CLSA continues Japanese equities splurge
Building on its aggressive Japanese equities hiring spree earlier in the year, CLSA will augment the team with two additional hires. John Seagrim and Rob Chandler will further contribute to CLSA's Japanese equities platform in London.
Seagrim joins CLSA as director of Japan equity sales in the London office. He will leave HSBC and bring over 15 years of Japanese equity experience to CLSA.
Chandler crosses to CLSA London from Lehman Brothers and has been appointed a Japanese equities sales trader. Over his career at Lehman, Schroders and ING, Chandler has racked up 12 years of buyside and salestrading experience within the Japanese equities sector.
CLSA has been progressively bolstering its Japanese equities department in London over the past few months and according to the bank, Japan represents the fastest growing market in its Asia-Pacific brand.
In April, John Charlton-Jones was named head of equity sales for the UK and Europe, bringing colleagues Holly Larrett and Philip Whalley with him from HSBC to enhance distribution of its Japanese equity products.
