Citi hires Charles Leung from Nomura to head private banking sales
Leung will be in charge of structured product sales to CitiÆs private bank clients.
Citi has hired Charles Leung to sell retail structured products to private banks in Asia. He will be responsible for the distribution of multi-asset products to internal and external private banking channels, according to a memo sent to staff.
Leung has worked at Nomura (and Lehman, before the merger) for the past four years. He was head of private bank structured equity derivative sales when he left at the end of July and has more than 10 years experience in the private bank market, both on the investment and structuring sides of the business.
Leung replaces Janice Yu, who moved to Societe Generale in June to take up a similar role at the French bank. He will report to Bernard Wai, head of retail structured products sales.
