Chase names new head

The Chase Manhattan Corporation has appointed Nick Olson as head of the high yield business in Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong. His role is to develop business with Asian corporate issuers with particular emphasis on the media and telecommunications sectors and the companyÆs acquisition finance business. He will report to Paul Beckwith, vice chairman for Asia Pacific and head of investment banking in Asia, and Stephen Eichenberger, head of European high yield finance.

Olson was most recently with Credit Suisse First Boston, Hong Kong, looking at the high yield business in Asia.
