AXA appoints Archer as new CEO

AXA Investment Managers Hong Kong has appointed Tony Archer as chief executive officer.

AXA Investment Managers Hong Kong has a new chief executive officer (CEO) - Tony Archer - who is currently the director of operations of AXA Investment Managers Tokyo and regional head of Information Technology for Asia. Archer will commence as CEO on October 1, 2000.

Archer has been in the financial services industry for 17 years, five of which have been spent in Hong Kong. He joined AXA as director of operations, responsible for the operations of Unit Trust Administration, Investment Accounting, Settlement and Information Technology. Before AXA, Archer worked with DST International (Hong Kong) Ltd, and Hewlton Walker in London.

Archer is to fill the shoes of Lindsay Mann, who steps down from the CEO post to pursue other opportunities within the AXA Group.
