Alteon appoints Jinfu Chen to spearhead China operations

Alteon Websystems has announced that Jinfu Chen will be taking on the role of regional sales manager for the company's Greater China operations.

According to network market research group Dell'Orro, Alteon WebSystems, a provider of networking infrastructure such as switches and server adapters, has a leading global marketshare for Web switching technology. With China identified as the fastest growing market for internet infrastructure, Chen's success in driving sales there will be important if Alteon WebSystems is to keep its dominant position.

"Our key success factors are attributed to the excellent performance of our internet infrastructure technolgy, the reliability and sophistication of our traffic control services and the high scalability of our system."

Chen, who joined the company in 1997, will be responsible for all day-to-day management in the Greater China region, including all sales, marketing and support activities.
