Allen Kwan blazes a trail to Outblaze

Allen Kwan, most recently an associate with the equity capital markets team of Salomon Smith Barney, has decided to hang up his investment banking spurs and head to the wild world of internet services. Kwan is set to join local Hong Kong internet technology company Outblaze in the capacity of  Senior Vice President of Strategy and Special Projects, and a member of the Executive Management team comprising the CEO, CFO, CTO, COO and himself.

Some might say his move is a bit late, given the number of dashed millionaire dreams that litter the dotcom landscape. Kwan however is an old friend of the dynamic Yat Siu - founder and CEO of the two year old Outblaze - and had been looking to join the firm for some time.

The one drawback however is that he has now to sell his Porsche. Any willing buyers can find Kwan at his SSB desk in Hong Kong until September 1.
